operated by the local school district.

We have a prohibition against mentioning associations by name unless we go through campus counsel. However, I'm sure you can use Google effectively to find the school I refer to.
It's charter states: "is a district, charter school in Providence, Rhode Island whose goal is 'to improve mathematics, engineering and science studies'."
So your assumption is correct.
A ranking that was released yesterday places it 8/51 for public high schools in the state - with two other charter schools ranked above it (4/51 and 5/51) as well as 5 traditional public high schools.
