Re: [Phys-l] SOLAR , NUCLEAR ENERGY etc.

Redistribution of wealth has been an accepted part of the political system of every civilized country at least since Bismark thought that it would be a good thing for Germany. It does not refer to a Marxist society, as some illiterate oligarchists would hyave us believe, it refers to the ancient tradition that those who have an abundance of wealth, have an obligation to the society that enabled them to become affluent. It became part of our society with the consitutional amendment that permitted congress to impose a graduated income tax.

This crisis will require us to get serious about transforming our energy
technologies and implementing serious energy conservation measures or we are
headed for a global disaster, the likes of which we have never seen before
in our short time on this planet. I am not at all optimistic that our
world dominated by global capital has the capacity to even begin to make the
needed changes.
