Re: Netscape SOS

Pleas, let me know if you find any solution
to that problem. I've run Nv2.02, Gold, on LC II,
and LC475 (v.2.02), and on a Performa 460 (gold version).
Time to time, it has happened the same, altough most
frequently what I get is an "Error 1' message, and
N quits. Indeed, I've the same problem running
N4.0X (X=I don't remember) on a SGI Indigo with
32M RAM. It seems to me as if N continously tries
to ask for more memory, and at some point (on a MAC)
it won't have enough and freezes, quits or does
any crazy thing else. But I'm surprised to find
a similar problem running N under X windos. As I
know, Unix (or X Win) continously supplies any
order for more memory. It may have nothing to do
with a memory problem, but I've got the feeling
that as if there might be somthig wrong with
N. Sad! because I will not wander to that
"Netexploter".

With respect to the list of N extension, well
I've not tried this MOS8.x, but on my older ones,
it doesn't seems difficult to find them. Just
having a look within the extension's folder.
But I imagine you have a huge amount of stuff
in your MAC...why don't you make a search with
the search engine looking for any file with
the proper "type' and "creator" fields. You
would just need to find one, and with Resedit,
Norton,... you could get what those field are.

Good luck!

My Mac freezes, only when I am browsing with the Communicator .
Probably a conflict with another application. I know I should turn off
all non-netscape extensions and then turn them on, on by one. The
trouble is that I have a large number of extensions and I do not know
which one belongs to whom.

I need a complete list extensions belonging to the Communicator
(version 4.6) on may AV Mac 8500, run by MacOS-8.1

Does anybody know where this information can be found?
