Actually, David explicitly got the formula for fractional days with
excess birthdates wrong, as you perhaps still have not noticed?

But he has risen magnificently to the chore, as I now see
( having returned from my travels) from his follow-up...

(It was excessively churlish of me to harangue you in this way,
I am sure. I wish to apologize unreservedly for my flippant tone,
which I would think makes providing informed academic opinions
in this wild and wooly environment even more tricky...)
