Aw shucks! (##) I was thinking that the slope of didactic material
is very difficult to evaluate, and now you reveal that the
macroscopic slope is ignored, and only asperities
are sensed.

These lead to infinities of course, so a rational evaluation
function would interpolate round them with a renormalization....
