Down with the lottery!!

My LOTTO 6/49 (Canada's national lottery) numbers are 1 2 3 4 5 6.

I may have some bad news for you. Constituting a surprisingly strong
case for a more rampant numeracy than we usually find evidence for, I
have heard that 1 2 3 4 5 6 is, in fact, one of the most *commonly*
chosen sets of lottery numbers. Nevertheless, assuming that this is not
really evidence for numeracy but, rather, simply for a common perversity
and/or that numerate people like yourself have not become aware of this
fact and taken the next step, I would still choose a set of sequential
numbers but start them at some random value. In my example I chose 34,
consciously avoiding such demonstrably less random values as
4,5,9,10,12,15,16,20,24,25,30,36,40,49. (Just kidding! ... or am I?
Hmm ... Now that I think about it, maybe it would be better to choose
one of them. But then on the other other hand ... Hmm ... Hmm ...)

Always trying to think one step ahead of the pack,

John
