I note with bemusement that the Univ of Tehran offers a degree in evolutionary biology:

Evolution is becoming more controversial in Europe, and it is widely
opposed in many Muslim countries. Evolution science is under increasingly
harsh attack by the government in Turkey. I read that the great majority of
biology teachers in Arab countries oppose evolution.
