Re: [Phys-l] Physics and Astronomy Simulations

Thanks for noticing that the Planetary Orbits simulation was not there. When I worked on this on Thursday, I was sure I had uploaded the files for this one. But this morning I noticed that the folder was empty! I am away from the computer with the original files on it until Monday evening. I'll then restore the files. My apologies for the mistake.

Thanks to Richard Bowman for this. Looks useful and interesting. I did
find that the Planetary Orbit link appeared to be a dead end with no
simulation available. The Exoplanets, IFS Fractals, and Game of Life links
all worked.

Some weeks ago, there was a request for simulation sites. At that time I
mentioned that the ISAW site I have written was moving. The move and
updating is now completed. The new site is called PhysAstro Sims. View it
at: http://www.edtechbybowman.net/PhysAstroSims/

Each simulation (Finding Exoplanets, IFS Fractals, Game of Life, and
Planetary Orbits) are web-based and interactive. They also have a suggested
exercise that can be used in a lab setting or as an out-of-class assignment.
(I have done both.) But users can run the simulation without doing the
exercise.
