I think that in mathematics claims sometimes require more than logical consistency. Zermel-Frankel set theory is accepted. The Continuum Hypothesis is consistent with ZF set theory; so is the negation of the Continuum Hypothesisl.

2) In physics claims are validated by new experimental or observational data, as described by Antti
