Fishermen are quite apt to follow the trolling motor makers' lead in checking thrust from the
1/2 HP of electrical input while tethered to a jetty by a fishing scale.
This extends to pilots who make their own light aircraft, who want to maximize thrust of
the engine/propeller combination while tethered....
