Re: [Phys-l] invisible bike

My wife re-read Perelandra (indeed, the whole C.S.Lewis space trilogy)
last week, and she does not remember anything like that. My own memory
also comes up empty, but dates from a decade ago, so may not be worth
much.

Subject: [Phys-l] invisible bike

I'm teaching about the index of refraction. I read somewhere (this
list?)
a few years ago about an invisible wall that keeps a bike from falling
over in the C.S. Lewis science fiction novel, "Perelandra." Does
anyone
know the chapter/page reference for this?
