Subject: [Phys-l] A question for the list members

I received a request from a publishing house asking for permission to
post a message regarding new titles that they will be publishing soon.
The titles will be of interest to some members of the list but allowing
the announcement will add a level of commercialism to the list that does
not exist now.

Does the list wish to be notified of upcoming titles from publishers? Do
we draw the line at books or should any physics-related commercial
product be allowed an announcement on the list?
