Not really fuzzy because as soon as you mention gloves or shoelaces the the N3 pairs become obvious. Not so with gravity, because we never talk of an object exerting a force on the field in which it is imbedded.

Nice example. Person A pulls on one end of the broomstick...
In this case no one would say that Person A and Person B forms a NTN 3 pair
(even though, as you stated, they "interact" indirectly).


But this example can also be made fuzzy. Suppose the two people are wearing gloves. Would anyone be so picky as to say that the people do not exert a pair of N3 forces on each other? What about pulling on a foot vs pulling on a shoe vs pulling on a dangling shoelace?
