With luck the vortex launchers will arrive noonish today (Tues).



Come find me in the Apparatus Competition room (Farnsworth room) adjoining the main

registration room in the Student Union.  I'll be there from 1pm to 6pm.  Worst case if they arrive Wed. noon, I'll be in Farnsworth from 1PM -3PM taking down the exhibits.



Also come and check out hand-drawn holograms and such, PIRA display, and Apparatus Competition entries, currently on display in Farnsworth.  Note that PIRA has a small "freebies" table there.

  Thick-wall copper tubes for Lenz Law demo (very few)

  Neodymium magnets for copper-tube demo (very few)

  Pocket-size thick-wall copper tubes & sphere magnets (many)

  Little bitty 7,500VDC power supplies, only 50uA for electrostatics demos


  Ultrasonic fog generators (few)

  Graphite slabs for diamagnet levitation (few, these are from wondermagnet, NOT pyrolytic type)

  Big neodymium magnets (lots expected, but were supposed to arrive yesterday!)

  Autunite mineral samples (uranium ore, few)
