Re: very cool "waves" applet



Wow. Good thing I did not have any papers to grade, yet.
 
I like to demo the Doppler Effect and wakes (analogous to a mach cone for sound) in my wave tank. It was much clearer (and cooler) in this applet. All I did was grab the wave source and drag it around. It was nice to see the wake narrow as I moved the source faster.

This thing lets you do all sorts of demos with reflectors, lenses,
cavities, and point sources.  WARNING!  It's a huge time-waster, and if
you have to grade papers or something tonight, stay away!
