Re: Harmonic Motion and Simple Harmonic Motion

Hi all-
The first question is, "Does physics have a standardized list of
names?" The best answer is, "No, it does not." For common usages, the
dictionary and Brittanica are big helps. For more specialized usages,
where some organization has reached agreement, see the Handbook of
Chemistry and Physics.
Teachers need to be always mindful of Arons' "Concept first, name
afterwards".
I hope jogehoyos lets us know what he finds out.
Regards,
Jack

Hi List:

Any difference between Harmonic Motion and Simple Harmonic Motion.
Does the adjective Simple change something?

Franz Kafka's novels and novella's are so Kafkaesque that one has to
wonder at the enormity of coincidence required to have produced a writer
named Kafka to write them.
