vernier stuff..... -kevin

Subject: A LoggerPro tip

Skip this unless you are using Vernier sensors
with the LoggerPro software and want to read a
tip which may or may not be useful to you. By
the way, this "universal software" replaces a
large number of programs which were writted for
specific MBL experiments (with specific probes).

So here is a tip; it may or may not be useful
to you. It turns out that anybody can download
a free version of LoggerPro from the Vernier
web site. Student version does everything the
$65 version does, except it does not allow to
collect data.

Here is what students can do with it. First they
perform an experiment at school and save the
results as file on a diskette (typically 20 or
30 kbytes of data). They go home and open the
file with the student version of LoggerPro to
analyze the result. All powerful data analysis
tools are available to them. They can generate
new columns from existing columns, fit curves,
produce curves, print results, etc. etc.

Apperently this option existed before but I
did not know about it. The Vernier site is at

http://www.vernier.com
