I'm sure that Rick and all the rest of us know why this occurred. Much
of the evaluation of Rick's teachers depended on exactly what scores the
students made on the AP test to the exclusion of every-
thing else. The subtle temptation for students and teachers is always
to quit working at learning the subject and start working to second-
guess the test. This frequently happens even when the effect is to
reduce rather than increase the scores. WBN
