A few years ago a Mr. Frank Lee, of Morris-Lee science ed. company used to
sell a large VDG kit (also small kits as seen in Edmund Sci., also
separate spun aluminum spheres.) Frank gave a big boost to the
VandeGraaff craze with his Sci Am construction article in Apr. 1955 issue.
Frank has since passed on, but his daughter Nancy has taken up the torch.
She's started SCIENCE FIRST, in Buffalo NY, 716-874-0133
She's selling various kits (I just ordered their catalog, so I don't know
details yet.) However, they DO offer 60-0604 14" aluminum sphere, $80,
which was the main component of their 3/4 Megavolt VDG kit.
They probably are also a source for rare VDG belt materials.
