If you are a high school teacher or can contact some - I would sign up every teacher in the HS for the free Apple OSX and keep a copy of the doc card at school. You might even try to get the Principal to write a letter of thanks for the $90 donation for those teachers that document such things.

K12 schools then benefit from teachers who don't want their copy, funding for ed, K12 and tech being what it is, and the latest legal OSX could then be run on every capable machine - legally.

If you spearhead such a drive at a local HS, they'd probably give you a legal reg card as well, especially if they have more than they need for the old Macs that won't run OSX anyway. There's nothing wrong with passing the license on to another.
