Modeling Workshops nationwide, grad program at ASU

GRADUATE PROGRAM AT ARIZONA STATE UNIVERSITY:

Arizona State University offers:
-- a Modeling Workshop for post-secondary physics instructors on June 4-22.
Contact Michael.Politano@asu.edu, 480-965-3214, http://modeling.asu.edu.

-- a new summer program of graduate courses for high school physics and
physical science teachers. It's ideal for recertification, and it can lead
to a Master of Natural Science degree.
A rich offering of courses are in three categories: physics pedagogy,
interdisciplinary science, and contemporary physics. Participants will be
involved in a collaborative learning community.
Two summer sessions are June 11-29 and July 2 - Aug. 3. The program
includes Modeling Workshops in mechanics and second semester content on
June 11-29. A pending grant may defray costs. Bargain prices for tuition
and housing.

MODELING WORKSHOPS NATIONWIDE:
Modeling Workshops in physics and physical science will be held this
summer at Arizona, California, Florida, Illinois, Maine, Missouri, North
Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, and Utah. Graduate credit is
available at most locations. In 2001 the U.S. Department of Education
designated the Modeling Instruction Program as an exemplary K-12 science
education programs. For information on all Modeling Workshops, visit
