[Phys-L] AI drawing tool for simple illustrations?

Greetings!

Does anyone have any experience (positive or otherwise) using an "AI-assist"
for drawing simple 2-D (maybe 3-D) illustrations that accompany a physics exam
or homework item or a problem solution for students in college-level courses?
Predictively, AI art generators fail miserably at the rendering such images
because they seem to be designed to generate pictures far more involved than I
want.

I have been digitally generating my own such illustrations for many, many
years, and I've become fairly proficient at using various digital drawing
tools. That said, I still find it to be a very time-consuming aspect of
generating my own problems and solutions.

My manual artistic skills are that of an elementary school pupil, so drawing
the images by hand on a digital tablet, although much quicker and painless,
results in illustrations lacking any hint of professionalism or competence. But
along those lines, I have been thinking about an AI tool that would "touch up"
my hand-drawn images as the most feasible means forward.

Thoughts?

Sincerely,
         Jeff
