Suppose you are visiting. The B&B where you are staying has
everything you need, although not everything you might wish
for.
You are going on a hike, and you want to put a sandwich in
your backpack. The available plastic box is the wrong

The box has enough total size, and if you chopped the
sandwich into little pieces it would fit, but that would be
inelegant, and would defeat the purpose of the "sandwich"
concept.
The question arises: Can you cut the sandwich in an elegant
way, so that it fits in the box?
