Thx for sharing your fascination with the shape of the proton.
I hadn't thought about the complications of the shape of the proton until I
read your post.
Here is some more recent news about probing a proton. The proton is
"stretchy". And a soon new experiment will stimulate “muonic hydrogen” with
a laser instead of the traditional scattering of the electrons and
positrons from it.
