[Phys-L] 2016 Gordon Conference on Physics Research and Education

The formal deadline for application to the 2016 Gordon Research Conference (GRC) on Physics Research and Education: Relativity and Gravitation has passed. However, we still have a few openings and are accepting applications. You can apply or view the list of invited speakers at https://www.grc.org/programs.aspx?id=12968.

The Physics Research and Education series is unique among Gordon Conferences because it brings together researchers in an area of physics with education researchers and teachers. This one will be even more special in that it will be the first conference to bring together these groups very shortly after a major discovery in the field of gravitation. The Gordon Conference June 5-10 will provide an opportunity discuss the gravitational wave discovery with people who were part of the process of that discovery and to discuss how to teach related topics using contemporary methods of teaching.

All physics faculty and graduate students are invited to apply to participate. We particularly encourage those from underrepresented groups or serving such groups to submit an application.
