Actually just the observation that Venus is both the morning star and
evening star, but never the midnight star shows it goes around the Sun. But
then there is the model where the Sun goes around the Earth and the other
planets go around the sun. That model is a bit more difficult to disprove.

Comment: Not everything is relative. Galileo showed that if
everything in the solar system went around the earth the
phases of Venus would not be what he observed.
