Ditto students. This is why it should also be at the beginning of each
chapter. Perhaps a section entitled Chapter Requirements associated
with the chapter learning outcomes. "In order to complete this
chapter, students should have completed chapters ???. This chapter
also expects students to have an understanding of <single-variable
differential calculus>."
