Yup. Don't trust the color of insulation or lack thereof in household circuits -- check with a multimeter. Verify grounds.

Uncle Fred does lots of household wiring. Some works a bit, some never does and some will kill you.

I seem to have lost Dan's contribution.
Or perhaps it was offered privately.
(Why would a list owner do that? :-)
Do share the dire prediction - the possibility of miswiring maybe?
