The trick to using a razor blade is to keep the angle between the glass and the blade rather small. I have scraped miles of labels from glass using this technique without ever a scratch. Slide the blade sideways a bit while pushing it. Most glass is pretty hard even compared to a blade.

Perhaps as well to mention that the instrument one uses to score glass
sheets is a little sharp metal disk.

Why not try a razor blade? Steel will NOT scratch glass, and a good blade will take off everything including the glue. At that point a green "scrubby" will take the rest of the glue off.
