The payroll tax in the US stops at $106.8K/yr. Above that a person pays 0%

It's interesting how you use percentage statistics when complaining about the income tax, but then switch to absolute numbers when illustrating sales and property taxes.

As a percentage of their income, of course, sales and property taxes hit the poor and middle class far less than they do the wealthy.
