I'm not the you, below, but I'd make a prism from scrap glass using RTVR * to seal the joints.

Any oil is messy -- make more than one prism; fill one w/ oil, and seal on a lid.

bc purchased "for a song"* suitable glass containers (cylinder, semi- cylinder parallelepiped) but the cat broke tow of them!
