Hi Dwight-
	Yes, someone has mixed physics and skiing, but not quite in the 
way you suggest.
	My graduate supervisor, P.M. Morse, told us (his grad students) 
that he spent a year in Germany learning quantum mechanics with 
Sommerfeld.  Somerfeld held his classes on a ski slope, skiing in the 
morning (as I recall) and classes in the afternoon.  A fellow American, 
Allis, who also became an MIT prof, was there with Morse.  Sommerfeld told 
Allis that he (Allis) would never become much of a skier.
