Re: [Phys-l] plotting software?

A useful subterfuge which can provide Unix style commands,
and remote access via SFTP, SCP etc. is Cygwin,
a free application providing a Unix environment on a PC.
It allows unix applications to be loaded and run, after the environment
is entered by clicking on the Cygwin icon.

For publications I use PAW from CERN. It's a free download. It comes
with lots of samples and a tutorial, but it takes a little effort to get
used to it. I can probably help you get started.
BUT
it runs under Linux - which is OK if you are using a Mac.
