Re: [Phys-l] cell phone lightning hazard?

Any thoughts about possible mechanism? Will a source of GHz

Mark.

I notice a significant proportion of cell phone users use them outside
so a comparison of cell phone versus landline phone users would show
a significant increase in accident statistics for the former class of
users:
washed away in floods
lightning strikes
hail and storm damage
traffic accidents
attacked by animals

The same statistical difference would apply to outside versus inside
cell phone users too.

Speculating further into this pseudo science area: I suppose that
cell phone users would show excess incidence of sunburn on head and nose.

But I think we have a pseudo science specialist taking the list?
