ABSTRACT: The work of psychologist Reuven Feuerstein is discussed
with an emphasis on articles extolling his practices by Myron Tribus,
former Director of the Center for Advanced Engineering Study at MIT.
Tribus has studied Feuerstein's ideas intensively and has obtain
first-hand knowledge of his practices by attending workshops led by
Feuerstein in Jerusalem. It is concluded that "active learning" DOES
need a theory and that theory should at least be consistent with the
pioneering work of Feuerstein.
