Hi!

I think that third derivative of position is just an approximation to the
problem of radiation reaction. So, it is not useful to develop general
arguments and conclusions about uniformly accelerated charges.

For example, A. O. Barut, in Electrodynamics and Classical Theory of Fields
and Particles, Dover, writes an integrodifferential equation.

In the same sense, the well known textbook by Jackson have an
integrodifferential equation for radiation damping.

Relation with accelerated frames is an open problem.
