October 15 is the deadline to submit your sessions and workshop requests
for the 2005 summer meeting, University of Utah, Salt Lake City, UT. The

2005 ROCKETRY CONTEST APPLICATIONS
There is still time to submit your application. The deadline is November
30, 2004. The contest is open to the first 1,250 teams that submit a

INNOVATIVE HIGH SCHOOL TEACHER GRANTS – DEADLINE NOVEMBER 1
This year’s grants will support the World Year of Physics 2005 (WYP
2005).
Grants will be awarded and announced at the AAPT Winter Meeting.
Proposals
must focus on WYP 2005 projects and activities. For information on how

RESEARCH IN FREEFALL
Teachers, conduct experiments aboard NASA’s parabolic aircraft. Submit a
reduced-gravity physics experiment designed and built by your high
school
students. Deadline for submission is December 3, 2004. Winners will be
announced at the AAPT’s Winter Meeting. More information can be found at
