Greetings everyone. I hope you've gotten off to a good start of the school
year. My school hasn't started yet. :) We start the day after Labor Day
because of school construction & renovations...what a mess.
I've been trying to get things ready for the start of the school year and I
sometimes use photos or cartoons to introduce a topic. I haven't been able
to find them, but I know that they are out there...somewhere and was hoping
someone could help me.
I'm looking for a cartoon that I believe was done by Sidney Harris. It's of
2 astronauts floating in space. One of the astronauts is making a hand
gesture to resemble rabbit ears. In the background, you see Earth in the
distance and a shadow of a rabbit head is being cast from the astronaut.
The other astronaut is laughing.
The other thing I'm looking for is a photo from up in the air, looking down
onto a beach. There are some wave breakers in the distance, which are
spaced evenly apart. You can see as the waves are coming in parallel to the
breakers, but as they pass through, the waves are more curved and
interfering with each other.
Does anyone have any of these or know where I can find them? Any assistance
would be greatly appreciated!
