shows that the immediate post degree outcomes for new physics bachelor's
degree recipients is typically: 1/3 continues with graduate study in
physics 1/5 pursues graduate studies in other fields half enters
the workforce The private sector has traditionally hired the bulk (~2/3) of
physics bachelors not continuing on immediately with graduate study.
Pre-college teaching (high and elementary schools) usually hire about 10%.
