did a bad job of the projection, due to the
limitations of ASCII art.

In a properly-done orthogonal projection, there
is no way that any square face of a cube projects
to a square, except in the non-general case where
the front face coincides with the back face and the
whole thing is degenerate and uninteresting.

If the viewpoint is in general position, there are
!!no!! squares, just six parallelograms. See e.g.
