Re: Div, Grad, and Curl are Dead

I have one and will keep my eye out for it. DO NOT HOLD YOUR BREATH. It'll be quicker if I ask around at UCSC.

Bill was half time (each) in the Astronomy and Phys. boards of study. He died while returning from a white water rafting trip through the Grand Canyon. I had looked forward to his teaching the optics course the following quarter. (I was to do the lab.)

bc who cracked up a member of a phys. list by sending him a photo' of our garage.

Hi.

Noted mathematician (and physicist?) William Burke prepared a draft of a text on differential forms entitled Div, Grad, and Curl are Dead. He died before it was ready for publication, but I understand there are copies floating around. Does anyone here have one they would be willing to share with me?
