Re: Video Capture Card

But if you are going to invest in the Video Camera - be sure to get
one with 'FireWire' connection. Then 'all you have to do' is plug it
into any recent Mac for capture, production or WHATEVER! (That's the
way grannie does it)

Why not kill three birds with one expensive stone? Buy a digital
camcorder. Mine takes stills to a removable memory, plays regular and
Hi- 8 mm, captures stills to tape, converts composite video or
S-video to firewire (the removable mem. is read by USB-1), captures
short clips to mem. as MPEG, records to tape digitally from either S-vid
or composite, and, of course, records from it's CCD to tape digitally
(fire wire out). Maybe more, but that's what I've done so far.

P.s. it has a color and sound monitor.
