I would like to have our physics lab students be able to plot simulated
electric and magnetic fields using the lab laptop computers. By
"simulated", I mean the student picks a charge (or current) distribution and
then plots the electric (or magnetic) field lines this distribution would
produce. Since all the laptops have Excel, I thought this might be the way
to go with a field plotting program.
Does anyone know of existing (free) field plotting programs which will
accomplish the above on a laptop (Pentium, at about 200 MHz, running Windows
95)?
Thanks for your help.
