Re: cencovspascoballisticpend.

We have used both Pasco & Cenco styles (incl. Fisher copies). There is no
question in my mind that the Pasco pendulum is much more versatile and
superior to the Cenco. I have about 15 Cencos on the shelf that we never
use now that we have 12 Pasco. The only use I have is to modify one to
simutaneously fire a ball horizontally while dropping a ball and
demonstrating that they hit the ground at essentially the same time.
[anyone want to buy some Cencos?]

Greetings,
We, at El Camino College, are about to purchase 34 new
ballistic pendulums. We were originally going with the
old-style Cenco BPs when the new style by PASCO, were
pointed out to us in a catalog. Has anyone had enough
experience with both to comment on whether the pasco
type is worth the extra 140.00? The old style works,
but constantly needs tinkering.

Have you considered the Beck style? I believe they are still available
thru Daedelon perhaps? They seldom if ever need adjustment and only
require a new rack from time to time.
