That's not at all uncommon.

Some people love 'em, some people just get
"indigestion" as RPF himself recognized in
the epilogue (volume III, page 21-19).

Even for people who love 'em, they can be pretty
mysterious sometimes. More than once I've
had the experience of reading a Feynman chapter and
finding it perfectly clear, but being completely
unable to reproduce the argument the next day.
(OTOH I've also had the opposite experience: not
understanding it when I read it, but 20 years
later needing to know it and remembering the key
trick....)

We always figured Feynman lived in another
world, and we considered it a good day when
we could see part of it.
