I haven't been following this thread, so perhaps this has been
mentioned...if so I apologize.
The issue of where energy arrises from chemical reactions is a real
problem because most chemists take it for granted, and most students have
the wrong idea. The students think that energy is like the yolk of an egg,
crack the egg and the yolk comes out...crack the molecule and the energy
comes out...no yolk..ask and you will be amazed.
