Kyle and all:

yes, just for fun - if you're not familiar with "The Onion" it
can be pretty extreme, all parody style 
reporting.  I particularly liked the one about the 911 suicide
pilots finding themselves in hell:

proof enough that it's all parody?

With that said, and as a previous resident of Topeka (for a year) I
wouldn't actually be too surprised
if they DID try something like that - they ARE the state that outlawed
teaching evolution for a while ...
(that battle isn't over yet either)
