Re: WARNING: cheap toy! Intelplay PC microscope down to $30

Doesn't have anything to do with processors. This "microscope" is a way
of selling their CCD chips, not their CPU chips. Intel only wrote
drivers for Win98, none for Mac. I don't understand why they blew off
kids with Macs; I doubt it's a hardware issue.

If you want a *real* USB microscope, check out the cross-platform
ProScope (which dazzled the recent MacWorld in SFO) at
<http://www.bodelin.com/>. Unfortunately, this is not a toy and the
basic unit is about 220 bucks.

Best wishes,

Larry

And an IBM (not Apple)?

True. I don't see anything about mac support. (Do macs use Intel
processors? Maybe Intelplay microscope is an Intel plot to sell more
8086 PCs!)
