SCIRUS is apparently a true search engine with its own spiders cruising
the Internet, rather than relying on submitted material. It is operated
by Elsevier Science, a publisher of scientific journals and books.
I haven't used it much yet, but it does seem to reliably produce
credentialed technical sources as opposed to the amateur-produced
webpages you frequently get from other searches. I still rely on
<http://www.google.com/> as my #1 search service, but it could be nice
to have SCIRUS on hand as an adjunct.
Best wishes,
Larry
