Re: Modern Physics Textbook

NPS uses Thornton / Rex  "Modern Physics  for scientists and engineers"   I'll ask the instructor (for whom I'm doing the lab / demos).

I'm currently using Ken Krane's "Modern Physics, 2nd Edition."  It's a 1996
revision.  Have previously used and liked Tipler's text, don't know the
current edition.  I occasionally use Taylor & Wheeler's "Spacetime Physics"
to cover relativity as a supplemental text.

Subject: Modern Physics Textbook

Can anyone recommend a textbook for a modern physics course? This course
follows
our introductory physics sequence and is usually taken in the second
semester of
the sophomore year. We are looking for a book that is up-to-date and
readable.

Thanks for any input you can provide.
